Frequently Asked Questions - Residential Service

  1. What are the different types of residential service?

    Curbside service is when the trash is placed within 3 feet of the street. Cans, bags, roll away cart.

    Walk in service is when the driver comes into the driveway and will remove the trash from one specific area. i.e., next to the house, in front of the garage, in a bin.

  2. How often do you pick up?

    We pick up on a weekly or every other week basis. Depending on the amount of trash you generate.

  3. Is there a limit to how much trash you pick up?

    Yes, a service call consists of 60 gallons or 60 pounds of trash which is the equivalent of 4 hefty type bags or 2 - 30 gallon cans., or one of our roll-away carts. Anything over that amount is considered extra. Each additional 60 gallons is charged at a rate of $5. per extra.

  4. How does the billing work?

    All service is payable in advance. We bill every 2 months in advance. We accept, checks, credit cards, debit cards and cash.

  5. What time should I put my trash out?

    We ask that the trash is out by 7:00 a.m. for the first few pick ups until you see when the driver usually arrives. Times will vary depending on the season due to route changes.

  6. Are there items that are unacceptable?

    Yes, we cannot take yard debris, toxic materials such as paint, paint thinners, tires, batteries, propane tanks, concrete, building materials. Some of these items can be taken at a separate time but must be scheduled by calling the office.

  7. What happens if I forgot to put the trash out?

    You must wait for you next scheduled pick up or pay $20. for a special pick up.
